LMNOP first opened its doors in August 2000. After three years at 2574 N. Lincoln, the store moved into a new larger space right next door.
Adriene and Jane (friends from high school) decided there was a real need for kid friendly fashionable clothing. There was too much pink for girls and almost nothing for boys. So the friends decided to open a boutique. Business boomed. Apparently other moms felt the same way. Adriene and Jane began buying in New York, Los Angeles, and even going to Europe in search of unusual kids' clothing. The shopping experience was also important. The friends emphasized good customer service in an open stroller friendly environment. That continues today with the well trained staff and open minimal floorplan. After the store was open for a year Jane moved to Colorado leaving Adriene to continue on.
